LED1642GW is a single-chip, low voltage, low current power 16-bit shift register designed for LED panel displays. And guarantee 20 V output drive capability, allowing users to series multiple led. In the output phase, 16 regulated current sources provide constant current from 3 mA to 40 mA to drive the led.
Typical chip-to-chip accuracy
The current is programmed through an external resistor and can be adjusted through 7-bit current gain registers in two subranges. Brightness can be adjusted individually for each channel with 12/16 bit grayscale control. Programmable switching times (four different available values) improve the system's low noise generation performance.
Typical application schematic
LED1642GW supports open/short error detection mode. Automatic shutdown and automatic power-on functions (optional) enable the device to save power without external intervention. Thermal management includes alarm over temperature data and output thermal shutdown (170°C). High clock frequencies up to 30 MHz make the device suitable for high data rate transmission. The optional gradual output delay reduces surge flow, and the optional SDO synchronization feature comes into play when the device is used in a Daisy chain configuration. The power supply voltage ranges from 3v to 5.5 V.
