The AP130 is a 300mA, fixed output voltage, low drop linear voltage regulator. The device includes a channel element, an error amplifier, a bandgap circuit, a current limiting circuit and a thermal shutdown circuit. Its low voltage and low static current characteristics make it suitable for some critical current applications, such as some battery powered devices.
Typical Application Circuit and Functional Block Diagram
Typical static current is about 50 μA, from zero to maximum load. The flexible internal design results in a wide range of fixed output voltage versions, making it easy to use for applications. Built-in current limiting and hot shutdown functions prevent IC damage in any case of failure.
