Analog Devices ADM2561E RS-485 transceiver is a 3kVRMS signal and power isolation device, including an integrated DC-DC converter optimized for low EMI.
The integrated DC-DC converter eliminates the need to use an external isolated power supply. The isolation barrier can resist system-level EMC standards. The device provides ±12kV contact and ±15kV air IEC61000-4-2 ESD protection on RS-485 A, B, Y and Z pins. These devices also provide cable reversal pins, allowing users to quickly correct reverse cable connections on the A, B, Y, and Z bus pins while maintaining complete receiver fail-safe performance.
The transceiver is packaged in a 28-lead wide body SOIC.
Typical applications include HVAC networks, industrial field buses, building automation, utility networks and electricity meters.
