Bourns Magnetics SRN3015C Series Semi-Shielded Power Inductors feature a magnetic silica coating around the perimeter of the inductor winding to provide effective shielding. The magnetic field radiation of this type of inductor is less than that of unshielded inductors. They are generally comparable in size to traditional ferrite shielded inductors. The SRN3015C family has an operating temperature range of -55°C to +125°C and is ideal for DC-DC converters and power supplies in consumer, industrial and telecom applications.
The SRN3015C series can be used as an alternative to the SRN3015 semi-shielded inductor series. Note that the SRN3015C differs in form, fit and function from the SRN3015 inductor model. However, the specifications of the SRN3015C model are likely to replace the typical applications of the SRN3015 model series
