Toshiba Electronics Components and Storage announced the introduction of the new high-speed four-channel digital isolator "DCL54xx01" series featuring high common mode transient suppression (CMTI) of 100kV/μs (minimum) and high-speed data rates of 150Mbps. The six products of this series start to support bulk shipment today.
To ensure the safety and reliability of factory automation equipment, isolation devices are needed to ensure insulation and prevent noise transmission. Toshiba provides digital isolator solutions to meet the requirements of industrial applications for higher speeds, multi-channel signal communication, and high CMTI.
The new product uses Toshiba's proprietary magnetically coupled insulated transmission method to deliver high CMTI at 100kV/μs (minimum) . This not only achieves high tolerance of electrical noise between input/output in isolated signal communication, but also contributes to stable control signal transmission and equipment operation. The digital isolator has a low pulse width distortion of 0.8ns (typical value) and a high speed data rate of 150Mbps (maximum value) and is suitable for multi-channel high speed communication applications such as the I/O interface for SPI communication.
