Diodes Inc.'s AP2X series provides single-channel, current-limited, integrated high-end power switches that are optimized for Universal Serial Bus (USB) and other hot-swap applications (such as LCD TVs / monitors, set-top boxes, residential gateways) , Laptops, desktops, servers, e-readers, docking stations and hubs.
AP2X devices comply with the USB standard and have two polarities for enabling input. They have fast short-circuit response time, which can improve the robustness of the overall system. The integrated output discharge function ensures a fully controlled discharge of the output voltage capacitor.
For applications with large capacitive loads and short circuits, a complete protection solution is provided. The device also provides reverse current blocking, overcurrent, overheating, short circuit protection, and controlled rise time and undervoltage lockout.
