Vishay has released ten new AEC-Q101 compliant FRED Pt Gen 5 600V Hyperfast and Ultrafast rectifiers for automotive applications. Vishay Semiconductors' 15A, 30A, 60A and 75A rectifiers offer the best reverse recovery performance for similar devices and are designed to improve the efficiency of AC/DC and DC-DC converters as well as hard and soft switching or resonant designs.
While maintaining low conduction and switching losses, the device provides reverse recovery losses that are 30% lower than the closest rectifier of the same class and 48% lower than the previous generation FRED Pt solution. The result is improved lightness and full load efficiency during the high speed LLC output rectification phase of the EV/HEV on-board charger.
These components are RoHS compliant and halogen-free and provide high-temperature operation up to + 175 C. And the rectifier adopts -247 -- advertisement and AC-220 package as well as TYPE X ultra high speed and type H ultra fast speed grade. X-type devices provide the advantage of lower QRR, while H-type rectifiers provide lower forward voltages.
