Integrated Device Technology Corporation (IDT) has announced that it will expand its RF portfolio with two switches that provide low loss and high isolation and an industry-leading constant impedance technology called Kz. F2914 and F2915 are 50ohm SP4T and SP5T RF switches. At 4GHz, the insertion loss is only 1.1dB. The corresponding IIP2 is 124dBm and IIP3 is 61dBm. These products utilize IDT's innovative new Kz design technology to maintain near-constant impedance when switching between RF ports, thereby improving hot-switching reliability and system response time, while protecting downstream components from transient effects. The company says these new switches are ideal for base stations (2G, 3G, and 4G), repeaters, test and ATE equipment, digital predistortion as well as point-to-point, public safety, and cable infrastructure. Chris Stephens, general manager of IDT's RF division, said: "Low loss and high isolation multiport switches with high linearity are an important part of many customer applications." "By providing new RF switches with Kz's innovative design technology, we provide Customers provide a way to reliably 'hot-swap' components with minimal voltage and impedance offset. " These switches are housed in an industry-standard NBG24 4mm x 4mm 24-pin QFN package, allowing users to take advantage of new switches in existing and new designs.
