Intersil's ISL8272M 50A digital DC-DC PMBus power module integrates a digital PWM controller, dual-phase power MOSFET, inductor and passive components.
The ISL8272M does not require airflow or heat sinks and can operate in a current sharing configuration with up to 4 modules to provide continuous current up to 200A. The ISL8272M uses a ChargeMode control architecture that responds to transient loads in a single switching cycle. The ISL8272M is packaged in a compact, low-profile HDA package, suitable for automated assembly equipment.
Typical applications include servers, telecommunications, storage, data communications, industrial / ATE and networking equipment, as well as general power supplies for ASIC, FPGA, DSP and memory systems.
