KEMET has launched the R76H series, which is composed of polypropylene film and bimetallic polyester film as electrodes and tin wire radial leads. The radial leads are soldered to the metal layers at the ends of the capacitor windings. The capacitor is housed in a self-extinguishing solvent-resistant plastic case and uses a thermoset resin material to meet UL 94 V-0 requirements. According to the different voltage parameters, two different winding structures are used. Automotive-grade devices meet the demanding Automotive Electronics Council AEC-Q200 qualification requirements.
Typical applications include resonant circuits, high frequency, high current, snubber circuits, thyristor (SCR and IGBT) and SiC (eg MOSFET) commutation circuits, as well as applications with a combination of high voltage, high current and high ambient temperature.And KEMET's radial film capacitors are available in automotive grade AEC-Q200 options
