The Laird Connectivity BL5340 module makes full use of many hardware functions of nRF5340 SoC, including support for low-power Bluetooth 5.2, 802.15.4 (Thread and Zigbee) and NFC. Cortex-M33 microcontroller has two cores, and each core supports its own power management system. Therefore, designers can use one core for wireless operation and use the other core to meet application requirements.
The BL5340 module is equipped with Arm TrustZone, Arm CryptoCell-312 and other enhanced security technologies, and is equipped with USB access function, random number generator, temperature sensor, inter processor communication function and watchdog timer. The module provides two antenna configurations: integrated PCB antenna option can simplify the overall design; The antenna pin option allows external antennas to be connected. These modules support 1.7V to 5.5V power supply voltage, and the power consumption is extremely low. The transmission power consumption is only 5.1mA, and the reception power consumption is only 2.7mA.
