Linear Technology's LT8616 high-efficiency high-speed 42V dual synchronous monolithic step-down switching regulator. With two channels enabled, the low-power device consumes only 6.5μA of quiescent current.
Both channels contain switches and circuits needed to reduce external components. Low ripple burst mode operation can achieve high efficiency from low to very low output current, while reducing the output ripple to & lt; 15mv minimum.
The SYNC pin can be used to synchronize the device to an external clock, and the internal compensation with the peak current mode topology allows the use of smaller inductors to achieve fast transient response and good loop stability. The enable pin has an accurate 1V threshold and can be used to program undervoltage lockout.
The capacitor on the TR / SS pin programs the output voltage ramp rate during startup, while the PG pin indicates when each output is within 10% of the programmed output voltage. LT8616 adopts TSSOP package, which has high reliability. The enhanced 28-lead TSSOP package output remains at or below the regulated voltage when adjacent pins are shorted or the pins are floating. Other features include 180-degree out-of-phase switching and adjustable / synchronizable frequencies from 200kHz to 3MHz.
