Lumileds LUXEON 5258 LED is designed to be used as a single 4.8mm optical light source. Multi-die package LEDs provide precise beam control and high brightness in a single package. SMD devices are available in 24V and 96V options for a variety of directional LED lighting applications. 5258 LEDs provide high throughput and efficiency, improving the quality of light, while avoiding the sprinkler effects common to distributed multi-die solutions. The device is available in 24V or 96V versions, and offers a warm white color temperature range of 2700K and 3000K. LUXEON 5258 has a color rendering index (CRI) rating of 80, and these devices provide a thermal color target to ensure that the LEDs are within the target color under ANSI application conditions at 85C. All LUXEON 5258 devices are also boxed with a single 3-step or 5-step MacAdam oval to ensure color uniformity and are compatible with low cost and high efficiency drivers. These LEDs offer some of the best power efficiency and throughput metrics on the market today, with excellent reliability and sagging curves compared to other competing solutions. The LUXEON 5258 24V solution can provide a luminous flux of 500 lumens (typical) with an efficiency up to 125 lm / W, while the 96V solution can provide 458 lumens (typical) with an efficiency of up to 118 lm / W. The multi-die transmitter on the LUXEON 5258 device enables cost-effective designs for PAR 16, PAR 20, MR16 and GU10 lamps. The 5258 LED comes in a 5.2mm x 5.8mm surface mount package and is suitable for a variety of general lighting and directional lighting applications, including refurbished lamps, spotlights and luminaires.
