The LT2078 is a micro-power dual operational amplifier with a small 8-pin profile and standard surface-mount package. The LT2079 is a micro-power quad-op amplifier in a standard 14-pin surface-mount package. Both devices are optimized for 5V single-power operation. Also available in ±15V specifications.
Typical application
The micro-power performance of competing devices is achieved at the cost of severely reducing accuracy, noise, speed, and output drive specifications. The design of the LT2078/LT2079 focuses on reducing the supply current without sacrificing other parameters. The offset voltage achieved is the lowest of any double or quadruple non-chopper stabilized op amp - micro power or otherwise.

The offset current, voltage and current noise, conversion rate, and gain bandwidth product are all 2 to 10 times better than previous micro-power operational amps. Both LT2078/LT2079 can operate from a single power source (as low as one lithium battery or two nickel-cadmium batteries). The input range is underground. All NPN output stages swing to the ground within a few millivolts during sinking current - no power consumption required for pull-down resistors.
