Microchip Technology's MTCH6303 projected capacitive touch controller is providing multi-touch coordinates and off-the-shelf multi-finger surface gesture kits.
MTCH6303 brings modern user interface (UI) elements (such as pinch and zoom, multi-finger scrolling and swiping) to any embedded design with minimal host requirements. It has advanced signal processing functions, which can provide noise avoidance technology and predictive tracking for ten fingers. Usually, the frequency of each finger is 100Hz for five touches. It is also combined with Microchip's MTCH652 high-voltage line driver to achieve excellent signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) for excellent touch performance in noisy environments.
The company claims that these features are essential in harsh environments such as industrial controls, home and office automation with security control panels, thermostats, printers and lighting controls, and a variety of things including fitness equipment and audio systems Consumer applications.
