RS Components now stock Fluke LinkIQ Cable+Network: a new advanced cable and network tester ideal for installers and maintenance technicians.
It is a cost-effective and time-saving device with advanced switch diagnostics and state-of-the-art cable measurement technology that simplifies network troubleshooting when setting up, adding or maintaining a network. And the tester combines the capabilities of the two devices.
The device provides users with a high level of confidence, quickly troubleshoot cable failures, and connect PoE devices to the network -- the price indicates that the device can be widely deployed in the enterprise.
The cable performance of the device can be measured based on frequency, and the results show the maximum data rate that the cable can support, up to 10Gbit/s. It also displays cable distance information, if connected, switch port details, including its name, VLAN status, speed and duplex. For PoE validation, the unit will display PoE grades (up to 8) and perform load tests from the connected switches.
