The new HYJ series IP69/IP69K 304 stainless steel enclosures supplied by Hammond Electronics are used in manufacturing areas where maintaining hygienic standards and avoiding contamination build-up are Paramount considerations. They can withstand normal high temperature, high pressure rinsing and have no dirt traps that could collect contaminants.
The range will initially be available in five sizes, from 202mm x 124mm x 102mm to 416mm x 338mm x 203mm. The symmetrical rectangular design indicates that the unit can be mounted vertically or horizontally. Slopes on all sides ensure that water drains quickly after spray cleaning, and super smooth surface treatment prevents water deposition. There are no slotted screw heads, quarter latches or welded mounting brackets, which can be a challenge to clean the area; Front cover attached to body with cracked hexagon head bolt fitted with external silicone washer.
The unique blue "sanitary" silicone gasket is mounted outside the edge of the cover and it is easily removed for cleaning or replacement. To eliminate difficult-to-clean areas behind the envelope, there are four intervals of varying lengths to ensure that the HYJ is fixed to the wall so that all surfaces can be cleaned.
Also available is the complementary HYPB button family for machine and process control. They have 22.5mm or 30.5mm holes arranged in a single row of one, two, three or four holes, two rows of four holes arranged in two rows of two or two rows of six holes arranged in two rows of three holes.
