The new IRS3078 polyurethane potting composite is available from Intertronics. The material is packaged in side-by-side cartridges, making it suitable for customers with small volume requirements. It complements the company's wide range of materials and devices for electronic bonding, potting, coating and packaging.
The material is low viscosity, semi-thixotropic and fluid, available in convenient side-by-side double syringe cartridges. It has high adhesion, good electrical insulation and high impact resistance with elastic Shore D65 hardness. It can also be used as a low viscosity adhesive. The compound is a semi-rigid, room temperature cured and electrically insulated black polyurethane pooping compound.
Irs3078-50kit includes everything needed for mixing and dispensing materials - 50ml epoxy barrel, syringe gun and three static mixing nozzles. The mixing weight of the material is 0.90:1, the volume is 1:1, and the viscosity is 2000mpa. Service life at room temperature is 6 minutes. It is ideal for product evaluation or small volume users in a variety of applications, including potting and encapsulating electronic components, bonding and sealing road bolts of different materials.
"We recognize that every customer and every application is different," says Intertronics sales manager Ben Swanson. "Not only do different applications require different materials and equipment, but the way the material is packaged can have an impact on the process and change its suitability for the application -- something we took into account when we launched this material."
