   The device is not only an accurate, battery-powered data recorder that can measure and record process parameters during any welding process, but also claims to be the smallest recorder on the market. Mark continued, "What makes the compact SLX unique is its zero user Settings capability. Simply plug in the sensor and start profile capture, no data logger reset or configuration through the computer. All sensor detection and configuration is automatic. The result is error-free running and faster profile capture times."

   The new device can be connected to any SMARTLink backflow heat shield or other process accessory and will automatically configure itself for data acquisition. It can be ready for analysis in as little as 10 minutes after charging, and can run for 15 hours after being fully charged in two hours.

   The unit offers 2.4ghz telemetry options for increased measuring range and maintains +/ -0.5 ° C accuracy. Download speed is ten times faster than previous models, and with plenty of memory for storing temperature and other secondary parameters, it can easily display logger, sensor and memory status through status indicators and multi-bar charts.
