Rohm's BD768xFJ is an AC / DC quasi-resonant controller type DC-DC converter that provides the best system for all products including power outlets. The device is targeted for applications such as industrial equipment, AC adapters and home appliances. Quasi-resonant operation enables soft switching and helps reduce EMI. By using switching MOSFETs and current-sense resistors as external devices, a high degree of flexibility can be achieved.
The built-in power-down function can monitor the input voltage as part of system optimization. Burst mode function reduces input power at low power. The BD768xFJ series includes various protection functions, including soft start, overcurrent limiter per cycle, overvoltage protection, overload protection and undervoltage functions. It includes a gate clamp circuit for optimal driving of the SIC-MOSFET.
