TCAN1043A-Q1 is the layer requirement of ISO 11898-2:2016 High Speed CAN specification for CAN(network) transceivers that meet the physical conditions of the high speed controller area. The device supports classic CAN and CAN FD data rates up to 8 megabits per second (Mbps).
The TCAN1043A-Q1 allows you to selectively enable a variety of power sources that may be present on your system via the INH output pins, thereby reducing battery current consumption at the system level. This allows a low current sleep state. In this state, the power supply is gated to all system components except the TCAN1043A-Q1, while monitoring the CAN bus. When a wake up event is detected, the TCAN1043AQ1 starts the system by driving a high INH.
The TCAN1043A-Q1 has an SWE timer to safely transition to sleep mode after four minutes of inactivity in standby mode (tINACTIVE). This ensures that the device transitions to low power if the MCU cannot switch to sleep mode in normal mode.
