Texas Instruments TPS3702 is an integrated overvoltage and undervoltage window detector in a small SOT-6 package. High-precision voltage monitors are ideal for systems running on low-voltage power rails with narrow margins.
Low-threshold hysteresis options of 0.55% and 1.0% prevent false reset signals when the monitored power supply is within its normal operating range. Internal glitch immunity and noise filters further eliminate false resets caused by false signals.
The TPS3702 does not require any external resistors to set overvoltage and undervoltage reset thresholds, which further improves overall accuracy and reduces the size and cost of the solution. The SET pin is used to select between the two available threshold voltages designed in each device. Separate SENSE input pins and VDD pins implement the redundancy required for safety-critical and high-reliability systems. The device also provides independent reset outputs for the OV and UV pins. With an open-drain configuration, UV and OV can be connected together.
The device has a typical quiescent current specification as low as 7µA and can be used over the industrial temperature range of –40C to 125C.
