Texas Instruments LM76002 and LM76003 regulators are easy to use synchronous step-down DC-DC converters capable of driving load currents up to 2.5 A (LM76002) or 3.5 A (LM76003) from input up to 60 V. The LM76002 and LM76003 provide superior efficiency and output accuracy in a very small solution size. Peak current mode control is adopted. Other functions, such as adjustable switching frequency, synchronization, FPWM option, power good flag, precise start, adjustable soft start, tracking provide flexible and easy to use solutions for a wide range of applications.
Automatic frequency folding improves efficiency in light loads and optional external biasing. These devices require few external components, have a pin designed for a simple PCB layout, and have first-class electromagnetic interference (CISPR22) and thermal performance. Protection functions include thermal shutdown, input undervoltage locking, cycle by cycle current limiting and short circuit protection. LM76002 and LM76003 devices can be wet flanked in a WQFN 30 pin lead-free package.
