Texas Instruments LMH1219 is a low-power, dual input, dual output, adaptive equalizer, integrated with a recocker. It supports SMPTE video rates of up to 11.88 Gbps and IP of 10 GbE video, making it an ultra-high definition video 4K/8K application. The IN0's extended adaptive cable equalizer is designed to equalize data transmitted over 75 ohm coaxial cables and operates over a wide data rate range of 125 Mbps to 11.88 Gbps. The adaptive board tracking equalizer of IN1 is compatible with SFF-8431, and supports SMPTE and 10 GbE data rates.
Integrated relocking attenuates high-frequency jitter and provides optimal signal integrity. The high input jitter tolerance of the relocker improves the timing margin. The lock has a built-in loop filter and does not require a precision input reference clock to operate. The interference free eye monitor allows real-time measurement of serial data to simplify system debugging and accelerator board startup.
The integration of 2:1 mux and 1:2 sectors provides the flexibility of multiple video signals. The output driver provides programmable weight loss to compensate for circuit board trace loss at its output. The integrated return loss network meets the strict SMPTE standard and is applicable to all data rates. The typical power consumption of LMH1219 is 250 mW. Without the input signal, the power is further reduced to 27 mw.
