Toshiba Electronic Components & Storage Corporation introduced the "CSLZ series" Zener diodes that protect semiconductor devices from switching surges/induced lightning surges, as well as electrostatic discharge (ESD). There are 10 products in this product line with zener voltage coverage ranging from 5.6V to 30V (typ).
The new Zener diodes protect semiconductor devices from nanosecond ESD, microsecond to millisecond switching surges, and near-DC overvoltage pulses. For the first time in Toshiba's Zener diodes, the ultra-small SOD-962[3] package is used, with a mounting area of 0.1984mm2 (typ.) Reduced by about 85%, allowing high-density mounting on equipment. Products contribute to the efficient use of circuit boards and improve equipment reliability.
Applied to electronic devices (IoT devices, mobile devices, etc.) with SOD-962[3] package suitable for high-density mounting: 0.62mm×0.32mm×0.3mm (typical value), preventing microsecond to millisecond pulse width waves Influence of Surge Voltage, Wide Zener Voltage Unit Series: VZ (typ) = 5.6V to 30V
