Vishay has introduced a new 1.4mm x 1.8mm miniQFN10 package with an ultra-thin 0.35mm form factor, providing a space-saving alternative to the larger miniQFN10 and WCSP devices commonly used in portable applications. The new DG2592 audio jack detector and DG2750 low-voltage dual SPDT analog switch are the first devices in a new solution family in an enhanced package.
Typical miniQFN10 and WCSP packages have an outline size of 0.55mm. DG2592 and DG2750's new ultra-thin miniQFN10 packages are 36% thinner, saving valuable PCB space and allowing thinner end products including handheld medical instruments, smartphones, tablets, portable media players, digital cameras and Wearable Internet of Things (IoT) devices. Compared to the WCSP package, the enhanced miniQFN10 provides easier surface mounting and is more suitable for flexible PCBs commonly used in portable designs. The package exceeds current RoHS standards and is completely lead (Pb) -free.
DG2592 is an audio jack detector and pop noise control switch IC with integrated circuit to detect the presence of stereo headphones with microphone and send / end control buttons. The device has a wide operating range from 1.6V to 5.5V and a low quiescent current of up to 10μA. MIC bias switch at 1.8V and 1.2ohm max for fast discharge and clamping. The detector provides ESD tolerance> 8kV (Human Body Model).
DG2750 is a low on-resistance bidirectional device that can switch negative swing audio without the need for a coupling capacitor. Designed to operate from a single 1.8V to 5.5V supply, analog switches conduct audio signals with extremely low distortion in both directions. The device is based on sub-micron CMOS low-voltage processing technology, provides very low quiescent current, and provides latch-up protection. 600mA per JESD78mA
