Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. announces the launch of Vishay BCcomponents 193 PUR-SI Solar, a new series of snap-in power aluminum capacitors, with rated voltages and category voltages increased to 570 V and 475 V, respectively. Targeted for solar applications, the device features an operating voltage of up to 600 V under certain conditions, a long lifetime and a rated ripple current of 2.46 A at +105 °C and 100 Hz.
At 570 V, the maximum operating temperature of the enhanced 193 PUR-SI Solar series devices is +60 °C, and the service life is 5000 hours (without ripple current), and at 475 V, the maximum operating temperature can reach +105 °C , the service life is 6000 hours. The open-circuit voltage of the device is as high as 600 V. Designers can use one capacitor to achieve a 600 V string input voltage and two capacitors to achieve a 1200 V string input voltage design, thereby reducing the number of electrolytic capacitors required and reducing the total number of solar photovoltaic inverters. cost.
The 193 PUR-SI Solar series capacitors feature a cylindrical aluminum case with a pressure relief valve, insulated with a blue sleeve, and are available in five package sizes from 35 mm x 30 mm to 35 mm x 60 mm. As a polarized aluminum electrolytic capacitor using a non-solid electrolyte, the device is RoHS compliant and suitable for DC-Link buffering and filtering applications. In addition to solar PV inverters, typical end products include industrial motor controllers and power supplies.
